Life is Perfect
We live in a society today which is dominated by self-help books and self-improvement guides promising to increase the quality of your life in such-and-such way, or your money back!
What’s going on? It seems everyone feels perpetually imperfect and is constantly seeking something new and better “out there” to satisfy a craving to feel better “in here.”
As usual, this stems from the ego’s distorted perception of reality.
In reality, Life is in a state of complete perfection. You are perfect, just as you are. There is nothing to improve and nothing that could possibly be improved, only changed.
From the perspective of the ego, everything is inherently imperfect. Life needs to be improved and changed in order to achieve happiness. You need to DO something in order to BE happy.
Interestingly, even once the goals are met and the ego should theoretically be satisfied, the feeling of satisfaction turns out to be short-lived. It seems that the ego’s hunger for improvement is insatiable. It ALWAYS wants more! MORE!
So people wind up getting caught up in this game of cat-and-mouse, trying to do something to achieve happiness, and creating new goals to reach the next level as soon as the current goal is met.
What happens it that people are unhappy NOW while trying to get to the ever-elusive THEN which is ironic because the Now is the only moment there is.
The illusory “future” is often seen as better or worse than the Now, and when it’s seen as better, there’s a desire to reach this point, ideally as quickly as possible.
Thus the world is perpetually imperfect and constantly needs to be improved to reach some sort of state of perfection.
The irony in all this is that the world literally is perfect, right here, right Now. The same is true with you! You are perfect, just as you are. Nothing needs to be done to make you BETTER than you already are.
If you believe that the goal of life is to make an angry God happy so that he’ll let you into heaven, then the idea of imperfection and improvement start to make a lot of sense. If you feel that you are inherently born into sin and need to do something to appease God, you’re in for a world of pain, both figuratively and literally.
In reality, the world is not some sort of testing grounds to see if you are “worthy enough” to get into heaven. You already ARE worthy, by virtue of your own existence!
If you see the world as a playground allowing you to play with virtually any and every energy imaginable, then the world starts to make sense. If you see this planet as a place to experience both the good and the bad, the high and the low, in order to fully understand and appreciate the “good” in the world, then you begin to see the reason for our existence.
There is a perfection in the process. Without fear, we could not truly know Love. Without sadness, we could never really experience happiness. Without chocolate, we could never fully appreciate vanilla.
The world is a place to allow you to choose from any possibility, from any experience. Seen this way, things start to make sense.
Every choice you make is a perfect choice for you. You are attracting and creating everything in your life that you desire in order to come to know the full spectrum of life.
The soul is getting to know itself fully, totally, from every perspective and angle, and piece by piece is granted the opportunity to know itself in its totality, experiencing every possible scenario.
Creation moves from perfection to perfection. There is no stage of imperfection within evolution.
A withering rose is not an imperfect rose, but a perfect withering rose.

It is first a perfect bulb. It then turns into a perfect growing stem. It next becomes a perfect rosebud which turns into a perfectly unfolding rosebud. When completely open it becomes a perfect blossoming rose. As it fades it becomes a perfectly faded rose and when withered away, it becomes a perfect dormant rose.
Each stage is thus complete and perfect as it is, an expression of the emergence and continual unfoldment of creation. What we see as evolutionary change is nothing more than the continuous manifestation of potential into reality.
You are perfect, right here, right now, just as you are.
Who do you choose to be next?
