Georgia Snow »

We've had flurries recently, but none of the snow stuck, until today! I woke up this morning before my optics test and upon glancing out the window, discovered that there was some snow outside! Woohoo! Sure, it's not the blizzard that our northern friends are experiencing, but this is Georgia and we've got some snow!

I really wanted to go out and shoot earlier, but I had to get some last minute studying in. This shot was taken at midday, just before noon. I really like how you can see how the treeline limits where the snow is. The snow melts as soon as its hit by the sun.

On a related note, as I was walking over to this area of the Burger Bowl, I saw some kid writing something in the snow. He scuttled away when he finished and kept looking back at me over his shoulder to see if I was going to see the snow. I was just hoping he didn't mess up my shot. The way he was walking and looking back at me, it looked like he had done something wrong so I put on my 70-200 just in case. Sure enough, he had written a select 4-letter word in the snow so I sniped him. Now we know who dunnit!
