Flying Frisbee Kick! »

This shot really cracks me up. I didn't know this, but people occasionally try to deflect discs with their legs. I went to go watch Laura play some ultimate this afternoon as well as try out my "new" 1D2 for sports which is what it was designed for. It was like driving with a high performance car! Nearly everything about it including the autofocus system, 8.5 fps, responsiveness, customizability, and simply the feel of the camera are light years ahead of the 20D. It's going to take some getting used to now that my RAW buffer is 20 shots instead of 5 so I no longer have to conserve my burst shots and can fire before, through, and after the peak action. Anyways, enough about the camera.

I wound up meeting a bunch of the parents at the event while they were watching their kids or even playing alongside them. A couple of my photos were even used for an instant replay to see if a dive was made in bounds or out of bounds. heh.. At the same time, I handed out lots of business cards and informed them that I'd be posting a bunch of these photos online. Several of them have already sold! Cool!

There's still some things I'm trying to get a feel for such as how to price items, whether to post only the best photos (my current method) or lots of photos for parents to buy. In one order from this evening, the parent ordered every photo with their son in it, regardless of if he was the subject or even in focus!

You're all welcome to take a look at the galleries from the games I shot this afternoon. There's a bunch of cool shots in there!
