So I went to Publix today. I walked in and checked the back wheels on the shopping carts and sure enough, they don't rotate. All the wheels can rotate around in Europe so shopping carts there can strafe. It's so awesome.
As soon as I walked in, my mind instantly switched to French and I was about to ask where the croissants and baguettes were. I found them and wtf, baguettes are so expensive! They were fatter and shorter and $1.29 whereas Cora charges merely 35 cents per baguette! Oh, the croissants aren't all flaky and nice. They're all doughy and gooey.
Anyways, to get to the main part of tonight's story, I was looking around for French stuff and found the prepackaged salads. They all had names like European, Riviera, American, Italian, etc. I started laughing and strategically arranging the salads and taking pictures. I noticed the employees in the meet area were utterly terrified by me. The blood drained out of their faces and they called the manager while my back was turned. She wound up coming by right before I set up the shot I wanted and told me not to take pictures in the store. People are so afraid of photography it's not even funny..
Anyways, the shot I wanted is almost the one I'm posting tonight. I took a bag of "American" salad and placed it between these two. I wanted to have an American in the Italian Riviera, what I was a few weeks ago. =)
This shot is what I have to settle with instead. Enjoy!
