Shelly Beach »

Today was fun. We spent a bunch of time out on the beach flipping, running, writing things in the sand, and otherwise exploring. Oh, haha, we got buried up to our necks in the beach. That was sweet. More on this later!

There's a lot of surfers here and they're all your stereotypical surfer dude. Oh, we're a bit north of Melbourne right now in a place called Cocoa Beach. It's just south of Cape Canaveral (where they launch the shuttles) and we're off the mainland on this strip of islands that run down the side of the coastline. In some places, it's incredibly thin. As in if you stood in the middle of the street (A1A), the distance to either end of the island is about a stone's throw. There's also an air force base that's several miles long (probably since they can't spread it out wide). The housing for the military is really really nice.

Oh, there's a city a little bit north of here named Ariel. Awesome!
