The past few days have been marked with a disinct lack of sleep. Today I made up for it. Sweet. Sleep is a good thing, especially when it's in your bed instead of in class, but whatever works.
I filled up the other day for $2.07. The last time I filled up it was like $2.87. Go gas prices go!
After I shoot the UGA game, I'm gonna sell off all my cameras and pick up a 5D. I originally traded up from the 20D to the 1D2 primarily for the weather sealing, but it's obviously not all it's cracked up to be. Now that I have a 1D, I still use a 1D2 despite the fact that it's purely manual focus because the image quality is so much better. The super-AF is great, but I can get by without it for my normal shooting style it seems. The weight of two bodies is killer so having one lighter body will be a welcome change. 50mm is an annoying focal length of a 1.6x body, better on my current 1.3's, and excellent on a full frame, so I'm looking forward to using that lens in the future. I love shooting wide and finally the 17-40 will truly be ultrawide. The replacement to the 5D will likely come out in February though. Other than that, there's really no reason not to switch over.
Today's featured photographer is a portrait shooter, Manuel Librodo.
