It's been months since I've done anything serious photography-wise. This afternoon I shot a marching showcase at Lassiter High School, marking the start of a season of marching band and cheerleading shooting over the course of the next few months. Today's shoot was relatively short, only 9 bands, including an exhibition by UAB.
Drum majors typically take off their hats just before they start conducting. I like shooting them with their hats on because, female drum majors especially, they can definitely get hat hair.
